The Fred Braue Notebooks - Volumes #1-8 Set

Explore Fred Braue’s unpublished magic through an eight-volume set of spiral-bound notebooks, plus a 235-page PDF of additional material. The collection focuses largely on original card magic, with close-up and platform work, other magic, and notes from Braue’s sessions with fellow magicians.

• 235-page PDF included: The Unpublished Fred Braue Notebooks adds material assembled by Leo Reed from the source materials for later planned volumes and other notes.
• Card magic at its core: The notebooks cover original sleights, moves, effects, and routines, including material connected with Expert Card Technique and Royal Road to Card Magic.
• More than cards: The collection also includes material on silks, visual gags, Linking Rings, coins, and Cups and Balls.
• Eight-volume page count: Volumes 1–8 contain 35, 33, 33, 34, 33, 34, 37, and 34 pages, respectively.

The series was originally planned to contain 15 volumes, but Jeff Busby published only the first eight. The set offers a substantial look into Braue’s work and the history of card and close-up magic, with session notes and material associated with magicians including Dai Vernon, Max Malini, and Charlie Miller.

The printed set is new and unused, but has been stored for decades; rusted staples or bowed pages may be present. The added PDF is a digital download, while the eight notebooks are physical, spiral-bound volumes.
