Happy Sad Playing Cards by Joker and the Thief

Bring a playful twist to cardistry with Happy Sad Playing Cards by Joker and the Thief. A sea of tessellating happy-sad faces gives the backs a striking, trippy look, while hand-illustrated faces carry a distressed style throughout the deck.

Created for Joker and the Thief’s cardistry line, Happy Sad takes the brand’s theme of duality in a fresh, minimal direction. Its thin, snappy feel makes the deck satisfying to handle as you practice and perform cardistry.

• Custom artwork: In-house designer Pedro Oyarbide created the deck’s original design, from the back pattern to the Ace of Spades.
• Hand-illustrated faces: Classic-inspired court cards and distressed details give the faces a cohesive, rough-edged look.
• Crushed stock and finish: Printed by the United States Playing Card Company, the cards are thin and snappy, with minimal ink saturation for a smooth handling feel.
• Letterpress tuck box: Premium matte paper and interior printing give the box a considered finish.
• Made in the USA: The deck uses sustainably sourced paper.

As the cards break in, they’re designed to feel like an extension of your hands. The bold contrast of happy and sad faces brings a distinctive visual identity to your next cardistry session.
