Memento Mori Playing Cards

Bring a striking reminder of life’s fleeting nature to your next card session with Memento Mori Playing Cards. Its low-poly skull design gives the deck a stark, modern look inspired by the long tradition of reflecting on mortality.

The deck’s concept also draws on interpretations of playing cards as a calendar: four suits for the seasons, thirteen cards for the phases of the moon, and fifty-two cards for the weeks in a year.

• Low-poly skull design: A minimalist take on the skull, an object long used as a reminder of mortality.
• Memento mori theme: The design connects a centuries-old reflection on life and death with contemporary graphic art.
• Calendar symbolism: The deck’s 52-card structure ties its theme to the passage of a year.

Chris Ramsay sums up the personal meaning behind the deck: “This deck is my Memento Mori.” Keep it close for card games that come with a thoughtful visual conversation starter.
