Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio (HUPO-Red) by Bloom

Bring the spirits and stories of Pu Songling’s world to your card table with Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio (HUPO-Red) by Bloom. This illustrated playing-card deck pairs mysterious characters with a card back that seems to whirl when you fan or flip the cards.

• Story-rich court cards: Vivid, detailed spirits include ominous specters and a ghostly maiden admiring a peony.
• Two-way illustrations: The court cards offer an alternative artistic treatment of characters shown on the number cards.
• Number-card artwork: Full-body depictions of spirits, scholars, and deities connect into a mosaic puzzle of an otherworldly garden when arranged in sequence.
• Whirling portal design: The card backs combine window-lattice and wheel motifs, creating the illusion of two halves spinning in opposite directions when fanned or flipped.

Choose the HUPO-Red edition for a deck that brings literary folklore and striking visual design together. Arrange the number cards to reveal the garden mosaic, or let the swirling card backs add a touch of mystery to your next card display.
