Distilled by Ryan Plunkett - Book

Build a close-up or parlor set from material Ryan Plunkett has refined in front of sold-out audiences at Chicago Magic Lounge. Distilled gathers practical card and coin routines from the resident magician’s working repertoire, ready for careful study and use in your own performances.

Use the book to shape a formal card-magic opener, add a memorable coin sequence, or bring a surreal moment to a close-up set. Its range includes familiar plots with Plunkett’s own takes and more distinctive pieces built around surprising final images.

• Detailed instruction: Study 200 pages of step-by-step instruction illustrated with over 300 photographs.
• Card magic: Perform “Any Card at Our Numbers,” where a chosen card appears at the same number in two decks, or “Fan Mail,” which ends with a selected card matching one sealed in fan mail.
• More card routines: Explore “Ace on Top,” “Paper and Silk,” and “The Time Machine,” Plunkett’s take on a Triumph-inspired plot.
• Coin magic: “Magnetic Silver” presents a visual routine in which two regular coins appear to attract each other.
• Audience participation: In “Gravity Deck,” a deck appears and vanishes in a surreal sequence the spectator can feel in their hands.

With material refined through regular live performances, this book offers a varied collection to draw from as you build a set that feels distinctly yours.
