On the Way Here Tonight by Jonathan Royle Mixed Media DOWNLOAD

Turn the familiar Crazy Compass or Magic Road Sign routine into a comedy opening about the trouble you had getting to the show. As the sign’s arrow changes direction in time with the jokes, the visual changes help land each punchline and warm up your audience.

Jonathan Royle’s family-friendly script runs 5 to 8 minutes, with extra one-liners to build the material into a 15-minute act. This is a mixed-media digital download for magicians looking for a funny, audience-participation-ready way to start their show.

• Performance-ready comedy: The detailed script includes one-liners that have been audience-tested over many years.
• Flexible running time: Use the core routine as a 5-to-8-minute opener, or add the extra jokes to create up to 15 minutes of material.
• Three artwork sizes: Custom sign artwork is supplied at 8 × 8 cm for close-up, 15 × 15 cm for parlor, and 25 × 25 cm for larger venues.
• Digital instructions: The download includes PDF instructions, the comedy script, photographs, and a link to a training video to help you make your own road sign gimmick.
• Two comedy endings: The routine includes two different road sign endings; their images differ from the visual changes in Royle’s adults-only Fore-Play routine.

Adults-only bonus one-liners are also included for performances without children. Shape the routine to suit your audience, then start the show with a story that turns the magician’s journey to the venue into the first laugh of the night.
