Close-Up, Up Close Vol #1 by Joshua Jay video DOWNLOAD

Give your close-up act a closer look with Joshua Jay’s Close-Up, Up Close Vol. 1, a video download featuring performance footage and insight into his twelve-minute act. You’ll see card magic, borrowed-ring magic, and routines from a performer who has presented this award-winning act around the world.

Watch the performances for ideas you can explore in your own close-up work, then enjoy clips from Jay’s one-man show and his magic-themed short film, The Heckler.

• Card magic: See a signed card appear inside a spectator-held remote, and a signed selection revealed inside an aspirin bottle Jay never touches.
• Visual card effect: In “Losing Diamonds,” the pips visibly leave the wrong card, which changes into a signed selection.
• Borrowed-ring routine: “Ringin’ Alarm” ends with a borrowed finger ring discovered inside an alarm clock.
• Sleight study: Explore Jay’s Discreet Displacement and several effects that use it, including an in-the-hands take on Roy Walton’s “Collectors.”
• Additional material: The download also features the Jay Change, D.D. Thought-Of Card, performance clips, and The Heckler, written, starring, and co-directed by Jay.

This video download offers more than individual routines: it gives you a chance to study the shape of Jay’s act and see the material in performance. Put it on when you’re looking for fresh card and ring magic to consider for your next close-up set.
