At The Table Live Lecture - John Carey 1 February 21st 2018 video DOWNLOAD

Explore John Carey’s streamlined approach to card and close-up magic in this downloadable At The Table lecture from February 21, 2018. Carey teaches a varied set of memorable routines, from coin and card plots to thought-of card discoveries.

Use the lecture to add practical material to your close-up repertoire, including a routine described as ideal for walk-around performance and effects built around audience participation.

• Coin and packet magic: Learn Triple Inpurseination, an opening effect combining Triple Spellbound and Coins To Purse, plus Ambitious O’Henry, a small-packet Ambitious Card routine with an off-balance transposition.
• Card classics: Explore Whispering Ambitions, which combines Whispering Cards with the Ambitious Card, and Your Cards Are My Cards, Carey’s approach to The Last Trick of Dr. Daley.
• Aces and color changes: YAFAP! is an interactive four-Ace production framed around past, present and future; Kaleidoscope is an almost self-working color-changing card effect with an immediate reset.
• Thought-of cards: Think as I Think adapts Do As I Do to thought-of cards. Little Vernon presents Carey’s minimalistic take on Out of Sight, Out of Mind, while Think n Sync combines the magician’s and spectator’s thoughts in a self-working effect.
• Strong finales: Slow Motion Oil and Water ends with a slow-motion finale, and A Mystery in Time offers Carey’s take on the Mystery Card plot.

Carey’s work also appears in his books Crafted with Carey, Minimalistica and The Carey Files. This lecture lets you explore his practical style through a substantial collection of card and close-up routines.
