Working Repertoire by Paul Roberts video DOWNLOAD

Build a practical performance repertoire with Working Repertoire by Paul Roberts, a video download about the tricks, sleights, patter, and psychology he has used as a working professional. In an interview with magicians Harry Robson and Shaun McCree, Paul discusses performing for real people and shares a range of effects.

• Two-card transposition: In “That’s Not It,” two cards transpose between two spectators and in their hands.
• Chop Cup: Paul shares his take on the classic effect, with tips and tricks for his humorous routine.
• Card revelations: “Number’s Up” reveals a signed card face up at a spectator’s chosen number, while “Think of Card” brings a selected card and a thought-of card together.
• Ring magic: “Ring Flash,” by Wayne Dobson, features a borrowed ring that vanishes and reappears on a string with a flash.
• Working insight: The interview also discusses jazz magic and approaches to performing for real audiences.

With material for stage, parlour, and close-up performance, this download offers ideas to consider for your own working set. Explore Paul’s repertoire and find new ways to shape your presentations for the people watching.
