Five Points In Magic by Juan Tamariz - Book

Make your magic more engaging by learning to use your whole presence—not just your hands. In The Five Points in Magic, Juan Tamariz explores how the eyes, voice, hands, feet, and body help you communicate with spectators and shape their experience. This 94-page hardcover presents ideas drawn from Tamariz’s professional work in close-up and stage magic.

• Five tools of performance: Explore how each of the eyes, voice, hands, feet, and body can contribute to a magical performance.
• Practical examples: Tamariz illustrates his ideas with effects and techniques from his own repertoire.
• Range of material: Examples include a book test, card effects, Protean Poker, and a study of Larry Jennings’s “Coin Cut.”
• Revised edition: The text and design have been revised for added clarity.

Use the book to think more deliberately about how you connect with an audience, whether you perform close-up or onstage. Its focus on communication and presentation makes it a thoughtful addition to a magician’s library.
