Lucky 52 by Matthew Wright

Turn a spectator’s freely chosen card into the winner of Matthew Wright’s playful “Snap World Championships.” In Lucky 52, a card marked LUCKY is set aside before the spectator calls “snap” on any card they choose—and the ending brings together comedy, surprise, and a striking match.

• Comedy and audience participation: The spectator decides when to snap and can change their mind, creating an interactive mental magic routine.
• Unexpected prediction: The set-aside card reveals all 52 card faces on its face.
• A distinctive deck: Every card has a different back design, building toward the reveal of the matching LUCKY cards.
• Easy to perform: The routine requires no sleight of hand or force, and the choice remains free until the final moment.
• Examinable ending: The two matching cards can be fully examined after the reveal.

A mainstay of Matthew Wright’s professional repertoire, Lucky 52 is a carefully scripted piece of mental magic built around a simple game and an increasingly surprising payoff. Its mix of laughs and astonishment makes it a memorable choice for an interactive performance.
