Misled Pen by Timothy Wenk

Borrow a bill, invite the owner to sign it, then push a ballpoint pen visibly through the paper—without leaving a hole. With Misled Pen by Timothy Wenk, the bill is wrapped around the pen before the pen appears to melt through its center, leaving the bill unharmed.

• Two visual phases: The pen penetrates the bill, then appears to pass through it while the bill is wrapped around it.
• Borrowed, signed bill: Use a spectator’s bill, which can be signed before the effect.
• Unharmed bill: The bill is left without damage after the performance.
• Pen can be examined: Hand out the pen for inspection after the effect.
• Included materials: Comes with a precision-engineered gimmick, matching ballpoint pen, and a tutorial by Nick Locapo.

Perform Misled Pen at a table, onstage, or through a screen. The tutorial shares performance tips and subtleties for presenting this striking bill-and-pen illusion to your audience.
