Phil Trick by Trevor Duffy - Trick

Ask a spectator to think of any playing card, then announce that their card is named Phil—short for Phillip. When the cards are revealed, each back bears a different name, and the spectator’s chosen card is the one named Phil.

• Any card can be named: The spectator freely thinks of a playing card.
• No force or sleight of hand: The effect is presented without either.
• One deck: The routine uses a single deck of cards.
• Instant reset: It’s ready to perform again right away.

Trevor Duffy’s Phil Trick draws on a plot with a history in magic, and is marketed with Phil Goldstein’s approval. It gives you a playful, surprising moment to share at the close-up table.
