Queen Spirit by John Bannon

Build a lively close-up card routine around the four Queens and three spot cards with Queen Spirit, John Bannon’s hard-back book on the Seven-Card Assembly. It presents seven tricks that you can perform on their own or combine into a sequence of surprising moments. Bannon also includes a four-card production to open with a bang.

• Seven-Card Assembly focus: Explore different takes on this card-magic plot, built around just four Queens and three spot cards.
• Practical handling: The tricks use cards from a regular deck and are described as impromptu, with no difficult moves.
• Flexible routines: Perform the tricks individually or combine them to create a longer sequence.
• Additional assemblies: The book includes a Sixteen-Card Assembly and two queen-friendly effects.
• Deeper instruction: Learn the mechanics, presentation, theory, and methods behind Bannon’s constructions.

Use the book to shape a compact assembly routine for close-up performance, or study its ideas as you develop your own card magic. Its conversational explanations make the thinking behind each effect part of the reading experience.
