Self Starter by Paul Carnazzo

With Self Starter by Paul Carnazzo, your spectators get to perform the magic themselves—following a single card that looks like a magician’s cheat sheet. They guide three effects, yet won’t know how they made the magic happen.

• Three spectator-performed effects: Let an audience member follow the card’s instructions and take the magician’s role.
• Selected-card magic: In the first two effects, spectators find your selected card under impossible conditions.
• Aces rise to the top: In the third effect, the aces come to the top after being inserted into the center of the deck.
• Works with any deck: Add the single card to a deck and you’re ready to perform.
• Intermediate skill level: Some sleight of hand is required and taught in the video instructions.

Self Starter brings an unusual kind of audience participation to a card-magic set: instead of watching you handle every moment, spectators follow the apparent cheat sheet and create the effects for you.
