Michael Skinner's Intimate Magic by Jeff Busby

Build your close-up and stand-up repertoire with 11 routines from professional magician Michael Skinner, explained in this illustrated book by Jeff Busby. Cards, coins, rope, balls and cigarette papers provide material for performances ranging from platform pieces to intimate close-up magic.

Use the stand-up routines for a group, then explore close-up pieces such as a spectator-shuffled poker deal or Skinner’s take on the card-on-the-ceiling plot.

• Stand-up and platform magic: Five routines include a two-spectator card-reading effect, coin magic, and a cut-and-restored rope routine.
• Close-up variety: Six more routines cover a ball vase, poker deal, cards through newspaper, and cigarette-paper magic.
• Distinctive coin pieces: The collection includes a slow-motion coin vanish and a comedy routine with a half dollar.
• Illustrated instruction: The 45 printed pages include 48 photographs to help you follow the explanations.
• Large spiral-bound format: The 8½-by-11-inch book has glossy, photographically illustrated art-board covers.

This is the second printing, published by Jeff Busby Magic, Inc. in 1982. The book is new and unused, but decades in storage may have left issues such as rusted staples or bowed pages.

With routines for both stand-up and close-up settings, this book gives you varied material to study and shape for your next performance.
