Give your close-up or stage mentalism a range of theatrical ideas with Stone Cold Mental, Volume I, a 130-page book by Jeff Stone. Its ten effects explore ESP, tarot, time, bizarre and luck presentations, with room to bring your own style to the material.
Picture a spectator freely thinking of an ESP card, or choosing when to stop dealing shuffled cards as a prediction waits in view. Other routines bring tarot readings, eerie storytelling and a thought-of lottery number into your performance.
- Ten mentalism effects: Includes two each in ESP, tarot, time, bizarre and luck.
- Distinctive routines: “Inevitability” centers on a prediction and spectator-dealt ESP cards, while “The Persistence of Time” reveals one person’s thought-of hour through another.
- Bizarre presentations: “Hotel Hell” and “The Purge” bring eerie, theatrical moments to the collection.
- Three bonus items: Includes an idea specifically for magicians, a utility idea and a presentation idea for stand-up or stage.
- Eight QR codes: Link to video footage, a secret website and additional material.
The effects in this volume had not been published before this series. With material spanning close-up and stage performance, it offers ideas to explore for different audiences and settings.
