Temporarily Out of Order by Patrick Redford - Book

Give your card magic more possibilities with Temporarily Out of Order by Patrick Redford, a book focused on memorized deck magic and stack work. You’ll explore the Redford Stack and routines built around its range of features, from poker and blackjack deals to spelling, coincidence, and faro effects.

Use the material to develop close-up card performances with a shuffled deck, a fresh pack, or even a borrowed deck you secretly set up during a trick. Many routines don’t require you to memorize the Redford order, and others can work with any memorized stack arrangement.

• Redford Stack exploration: Learn about a stack designed to support varied card effects and transformations.
• Multiple stack options: The stack can be arranged as a Parallel Stack, Stay Stack/Mirror Stack, Si-Stebbins Stack, alternating red-black stack, and more.
• Practical techniques: Patrick shares favorite false shuffles, false cuts, and two deck switches.
• Borrowed-deck material: Discover tricks that let you secretly set up a borrowed deck into a stack during performance.
• Flexible routines: Many effects don’t depend on a specific memorized stack order, giving you ways to use the book’s ideas with other memorized arrangements.

Whether you’re studying stack work or looking for fresh ways to shape card routines, this book offers a wide range of material to explore and make your own.
