Foiled Mortalis Machina Edition Playing Cards

Give your card table a striking steampunk centerpiece with the Foiled Mortalis Machina Edition Playing Cards. This black gilded deck pairs Victorian, Baroque, and Gothic-inspired artwork with a working mechanical gear tuck box made entirely of paper.

Designed by The Paper Gear Company, the box brings a little movement to the moment you open the deck. Its shifting gears and moving elements make a memorable reveal for card sessions or a showmanship-focused display.

Key Features

• Black gilded finish: Shimmering metallic details give the deck a distinctive look when you bring it out.
• Paper gear tuck box: The functional mechanical design is engineered from paper and is the same size as a regular playing-card tuck box.
• Steampunk-inspired artwork: Victorian flourishes, Baroque curves, Gothic motifs, and dark fantasy bring the man-and-machine theme across the cards.
• Distinctive court cards: Jacks depict Death Messengers, queens represent Gods, and kings are Reapers, including figures such as Anubis, Hades, and the Valkyrie.
• Two themed jokers: An Angel and a Demon each hold a symbol of something people pursue—love or wealth—and the sorrow it can bring.

Let the moving gear box set the scene before a game, or take your time opening it when you want the deck itself to become part of the occasion.
