The Mouse That Roared by Dan Garrett

Give your audience a tiny character with a big personality: in Dan Garrett’s quick, visual routine, a mouse puppet scampers along your arm and fingers, crosses your shoulders, and interacts with you. It can attack, kiss, bite, and be fed, creating playful moments for close-up audiences and larger groups alike.

Dan teaches his original handling and fingering, designed to make the mouse’s actions simulate a real animal. The online video tutorial includes his routines for adult and children’s shows.

• Five-inch puppet: The custom-made mouse uses no fur or animal products.
• Self-contained squeaks: An included squeaker can be embedded in the mouse, avoiding the original warblers.
• No threads or mechanical parts: The performance relies on your personality and handling.
• Multiple performance settings: Garrett has used the routine on stage, at corporate events, and in close-up, walk-around, parlor, and children’s shows.

With its compact puppet and character-driven interactions, this routine gives you a playful change of pace for a show, strolling set, or family performance.
