The Uncanny Yarn (Yellow) by Steve Hart

Let a spectator choose an item of clothing, then bring a miniature sweater out of a paper bag where they saw only a ball of yellow yarn go in. The Uncanny Yarn by Steve Hart gives you a playful close-up or parlor routine built around a surprising transformation and audience participation.

In Steve Hart’s routine, clothing cards offer choices such as a sock, mitten, bib, sweater, or slipper. The selected item determines what appears from the bag; additional routines are also included, giving you more ways to use the yarn prop.

• Yellow yarn prop: The specially gimmicked ball can transform into a miniature sweater.
• Audience choice: A spectator selects a clothing item to shape the reveal in Steve Hart’s routine.
• Multiple routines: The written instructions include additional routines using one or more special yarn balls.
• What’s included: The wool/sweater prop and written instructions are supplied.
• Bring your own accessories: The described routine uses knitting needles and cards, which are not included.

Use it for a lighthearted moment of magic where a familiar ball of yarn becomes an unexpected miniature garment. The empty paper bag, apart from the knitting needles, can be examined after the reveal.
